Q: Can I wear thongs to church?

A: Of course you can if you like them and if they are comfy. Our pastor wears thongs! Of course we are talking about “thong” shoes here… you understand that.

Q: Do I have to do or say anything in the service?

A: Yes. You must dance like a wild banshee when we call your name! No, no, no, just kidding! Just sit back and relax and enjoy the service.

Q: Do I have to dress up?

A: Nope! Wear whatever you want (well no speedos please!) Even the pastor dresses casual on Sundays.

Q: Do you ever dress up for a service?

A: Yes, on Christmas and Easter you will see some suits, but this is the only time.

Q: Can I bring my kids with me on Sunday morning?

A: Yes, most definitely! We are a super kid friendly church. We have classes for infants all the way up to Junior High age kids. Each class has age appropriate material being taught to help your kids mature in their relationship with God.

Q: I am not a Christian, can I come to your church?

A: Yes, please do! Our church is the perfect place for you. We promise you’ll be surprised how much you’ll enjoy the service and find it meaningful to your life.

Q: I am a Christian, can I come to your church?

A: Yes. But please be ware that if you are a Christian, really a Christian, then you are to be a part of the mission of the local church to serve others. What we mean is that as a Christian we have been commissioned by Jesus to “go ye into all the world…and proclaim the good news… feed the poor… take care of the widows… clothe the naked… love your neighbor as yourself…do unto others as you would have them do unto you… be doers of the word and not hearers only… give…love… forgive…and serve”

Q: How long is the service on Sunday?

A: 1 hour. Sometimes we may go a few minutes over.

Q: Are you Chief’s fans?

A: Yes, what else would we be living here in Kansas? (Ha!) Another cool thing about OLF is that we are done on Sundays by 11:00am, so you never have to miss a kick off! Sweet huh?

Q: What is your affiliation?

A: We are affiliated with A.R.C. The Association of Related Churches and N.A.E. The National Association of Evangelicals. Both of these organizations are founded on basic Judeo Christian Theology.

Q: Do I have to believe everything you believe to attend and or to enjoy your church?

A: No! Absolutely not! We are not a narrow minded group. What “we believe” in the “our beliefs” section of our web site is just what we believe to be true as we understand it. Someday when we die we’ll find out just where we may have misunderstood certain specific details in the Bible. We believe we should hang our hat on “loving God, loving others and loving yourself.”

Q: Will I benefit by attending your church?

A: Absolutely! We know this to be a fact!

Q: So what do I do?

A: Show up at 9:45am on Sunday morning, grab a donut (or a banana if you’re a health nut like our pastor) and a cup of joe and drop the kiddos of in their respective classes then head to the auditorium and take a seat and sit back and relax… life is good!
